Comparison of SPC flooring with other materials, Commonly used realistic wood look designs of the Flooring which can be divided into 4 types according to the materials used for the production.
1. The Laminated Wood Flooring is made of HDF or high-density fiberboard, which is made of recycled hardwood. The surface of the flooring is made from the Decorative Paper which has the overlaying coating to resist the scratch and the humidity on the surface of the laminated Flooring.
2. The Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with the thickness of 2mm and 3 mm for the wood layer and there is the Wear Layer to resist the scratch and the impact.
3. The SPC flooring with the Click lock system. The SPC stands for Stone Polymer Composite, a limestone core combined with PVC dust and a stabilizer. As a result, it’s denser due to the core being 60-70% limestone with a 30% PVC core fused together. Often referred to as rigid core, SPC is 10X more impact resistant. It’s also more stable to sunlight, can be installed in sunrooms, and has better scratch resistance. The SPC Flooring is water resistant and moisture resistant. The SPC Flooring is not shrinking and not expandable.
The elastic SPC core is finished with a decorative and protective UV film to create a beautiful and strong flooring. The SPC Flooring will have the Wear Layer to resist the scratch and the impact as same as the LVT.
4. The engineered wood flooring is constructed of layers of both hardwood and plywood, where solid hardwood is a solid piece of wood with no layers. The engineered wood flooring will be coated with the protection film from the factory. The engineered wood flooring is scratch resistant and impact resistant. It looks beautiful because of the natural realistic wood look designs.
